Baseball Recap: Trinidad Takes a Loss

Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-4 to the Ignacio Bobcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Saturday.

Trinidad saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Kendall, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Trinidad's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ignacio, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Trinidad will welcome Sanford at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Ignacio, they will venture away from home to face off against Dove Creek at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
