Baseball Recap: Mt. Lebanon Comes Up Short

Mt. Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Allegheny Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mt. Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for North Allegheny, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Lebanon will venture away from home to take on Pine-Richland at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for North Allegheny, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plum at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
