Softball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodland last Monday, Prairie Central came back down to earth. The Prairie Central Hawks fell just short of the Herscher Tigers by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The Hawks have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Rylee Galloway was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Abigail Bowden, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Prairie Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Central will welcome Dwight at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Herscher, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Herscher Tigers duke it out with Milford Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
