Baseball Recap: Concord Has No Trouble Against Robinson

Concord's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Robinson Bulldogs with a sharp 12-3 win. The Spiders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.

Maxwell Pryduluk was incredible, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Barrett, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Robinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will head out to face off against Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Spiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Robinson, they will venture away from home to challenge Northwest Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.11 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
