David Bishop Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Fort Bend Austin got the W thanks in part to David Bishop playing the best football he has all season. Bishop rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 95 yards.

Fort Bend Austin's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. Bishop and Fort Bend Austin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Austin Carlisle Delivers Electric Effort Vs Fort Bend Bush

Ridge Point picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Austin Carlisle. Carlisle was unstoppable, throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Carlisle might have his next game, a road matchup with Fort Bend Dulles, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Carlisle saw the Vikings), he threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes.
