Basketball Recap: Bosque Takes a Loss

Bosque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-23 loss at the hands of the Sandia Prep Sundevils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sundevils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-33 on February 4th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandia Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Calkins, who posted 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Madlyn Dopson, who earned seven points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Bosque's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Sandia Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Bosque does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandia Prep, they will square off against Cuba at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
