Baseball Recap: Old Forge Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dunmore, Old Forge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Montrose Meteors. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Meteors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Angelo DiMauro, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Will Wozniak, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Old Forge's record is now 8-9. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Old Forge will challenge Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montrose, they will face off against Susquehanna at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
