Softball Preview: Elberta Warriors vs. LeFlore Rattlers

Elberta is 10-0 against LeFlore since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Elberta Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the LeFlore Rattlers at 3:30 p.m. Elberta will be strutting in after a win while LeFlore will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, while Elberta put up plenty of runs, the same can't be said for Rain. Elberta was the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over Rain. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elberta.

Madison Willis made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Willis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Bowmar and Gabriela Alanis did most of the damage at the plate: Bowmar scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Alanis went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Vivie Ward was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, LeFlore pushed their score all the way to ten on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 18-10 defeat to UMS-Wright Prep might stick with them for a while.
