Softball Recap: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Lexington

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy barely beat Lexington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Golden Bears 13-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won 14 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Briley Miller, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Madi Tucker, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy pushed their record up to 23-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coming up, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy will take on Colbert Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.6, the Wildcats 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lexington, they will face off against Rogers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Bears are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
