Basketball Recap: Midland Christian Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Coram Deo Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Midland Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Coram Deo Academy Lions by a score of 53-40. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Lions are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Coram Deo Academy still got an impressive performance from Selah Johnson, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emily Revering, who scored ten points.

Midland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Coram Deo Academy, they dropped their record down to 24-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
