Soccer Game Preview: College Park vs. Ygnacio Valley

The College Park Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Ygnacio Valley Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

College Park is headed into the contest having not lost since January 9 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Concord could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, the Falcons got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Meanwhile, Ygnacio Valley came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 5-1 victory. The score was close at the half, but Wolves pulled away in the second half with four goals.

They hit Alhambra with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alejandro Avalos (2), Alan Garcia (2), and Alexander Villarce.

Ygnacio Valley pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. With that draw, College Park's record moves to 4-6-4.
