Basketball Recap: Church Farm Takes a Loss

Church Farm suffered their biggest defeat since January 9th on Friday. They came up short against the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers, falling 67-45. While losing is never fun, the Griffens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Sabers are ranked 139th).

Chester Charter Scholars Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nieem Gregory, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Zion Robinson, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Church Farm has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Calvary Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Church Farm will host Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Chester Charter Scholars Academy will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
