Eastern strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Clinton County Bulldogs to the tune of 49-8. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 499th in Ohio, while the Bulldogs are ranked 197th in Kentucky).
Eastern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Montgomery out in front who rushed for 143 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Montgomery is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Clinton County, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Eastern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-6 win against Southern on the 20th. As for Clinton County, they have also already played their next contest, a 30-25 victory against Casey County on the 19th.
