Armstrong had won five straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-0 to make it six. They put the hurt on the Schlarman Hilltoppers with a sharp 14-2 victory. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hilltoppers, too.

As for Schlarman, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Schlarman's part, Miles Crosby made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Jack Barber also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Armstrong is set to challenge their familiar foe Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Schlarman will square off against rival Milford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
