Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

The matchup between Springfield and Greeneview on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats lost 7-3 to the Rams. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Springfield were already down 6-2.

Lily Burcham and Piper Burcham scored all three of Springfield's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Greeneview, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-1.

Looking ahead, Springfield will face off against Miamisburg at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greeneview, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairbanks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
