Portal piles up the points against Southeast Bulloch

Recap: Portal Panthers vs. Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets

Even though the Portal Panthers have not done well against the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Portal took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 72-12 victory over Southeast Bulloch. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-5.

Portal was led to victory by Glen Lowe and London Blackmon. Lowe scored 14 points along with 8 steals, while Blackmon scored 23 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Blackmon has scored at least 25% of Portal's points. Another player making a difference was Raashonda Khalil, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

The victory got Portal back to even at 2-2. As for Southeast Bulloch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portal will take on Effingham County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Effingham County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Swainsboro at 6:00 p.m. on December 9th.
