Basketball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 84-60 to the Westlake Demons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-56 back in December of 2024.

Westlake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Hargett, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Aj Defazio was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double on ten points, nine boards, and nine assists.

Valley Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Westlake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will venture away from home to square off against Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westlake, they are taking a road trip to take on Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.
