Basketball Recap: Centennial Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Centennial ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Palm Beach Lakes Rams 69-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since December 11, 2024.

Jayden Prosper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 13 on his way to 22 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Buroz, who posted five points along with ten assists, eight steals, and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 16-7. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Centennial has already played their next game (against King's Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Palm Beach Lakes will face off against Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dwyer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Palm Beach Lakes likes a good challenge.
