Basketball Game Preview: Appomattox County Raiders vs. William Campbell Generals

Appomattox County and William Campbell are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Appomattox County Raiders will head out on the road to take on the William Campbell Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Appomattox County will be strutting in after a victory while William Campbell will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Appomattox County earned a 46-39 win over Buckingham. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, William Campbell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a blow against Rappahannock County, falling 70-37.

William Campbell now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Appomattox County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Appomattox County lost to William Campbell on the road by a decisive 51-33 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Appomattox County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
