Basketball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs came up short against Tournament Opponent and fell 45-32. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Crimson Cliffs lost, don't look at Alyssa Whittaker. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 12 on her way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. The game was Whittaker's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Coco Korella, who posted three points.

This is the second loss in a row for Crimson Cliffs and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Crimson Cliffs will host Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Snow Canyon will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Crimson Cliffs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tournament Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 34-22 defeat against Mercersburg Academy on the 14th.
