Baseball Game Preview: Bennett Tigers vs. Mitchell Marauders

The Bennett Tigers will head out to face off against the Mitchell Marauders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Bennett lost 20-4 to Sterling. Bennett has struggled against Sterling recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Bennett saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Garner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mitchell fell victim to The Classical Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 20-0.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Bennett, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Everything went Bennett's way against Mitchell in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Bennett made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
