It was a good run, but Mason unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Greenville Green Wave by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Comets were not able to get on the board.

Mason's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Greenville, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Looking ahead, Mason will challenge Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Comets are facing the Middies at the right time seeing as the Middies are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Greenville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Stivers School for the Arts on the 15th.
