Softball Recap: Dodson Takes a Loss

Dodson lost to Red River back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers lost 22-16 to the Bulldogs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylyn Nugent stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenna Fenn, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Dodson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Red River, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Dodson and Red River will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to challenge their familiar foe Harrisonburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Red River will face off against rival Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
