Basketball Recap: Estacada Takes a Loss

Estacada suffered their closest loss since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Gladstone Gladiators by a score of 59-56. The Rangers were probably out for revenge after losing 39-36 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Estacada has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Gladstone, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Estacada will host Crook County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crook County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Estacada surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gladstone, they will head out on the road to face off against The Dalles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dalles knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Gladstone likes a good challenge.
