Basketball Recap: Southwest Legacy Comes Up Short

Southwest Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 73-57 bruising from the Gainesville Leopards. The Titans were down 62-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Southwest Legacy still got an impressive performance from Jordan Rodriguez, who went 10-for-21 on his way to 29 points and six boards. Isaiah Rivera was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

Southwest Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gainesville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Southwest Legacy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-28 win against Lake Dallas on the 21st. As for Gainesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-72 victory against Arlington Heights on the 22nd.
