With a playoff win on the line, Springville rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cedar Valley Aviators. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Evan Straw paced Springville's offense, picking up 22 kills. Straw got some help from Reis Brothers and his 57 assists. Brothers was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Springville's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Cedar Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Springville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Bountiful on the 9th. As for Cedar Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Woods Cross on the 9th.
