Basketball Recap: Fremont Eagles vs. Churubusco Eagles

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 51-44 to the Churubusco Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Fremont this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-36 last Friday.

Ott is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brayden Bianski, who posted 15 points.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Churubusco, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Fremont will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Noble at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Churubusco, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-38 win against Fairfield on the 15th.
