Riverwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a blow against the Sequoyah Chiefs, falling 58-19. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 42-16 loss back in January.

Sequoyah was led to victory by Milanni Abdus-Salaam and Carly Bass. Abdus-Salaam went 8 for 9 en route to 17 points and three steals, while Bass posted 13 points and seven steals. Bass is becoming a predictor of Sequoyah's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 2-1 (and 11-12 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Harper Cofer, who earned eight points.

Riverwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Sequoyah, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-13.
