It's playoff time, and Jefferson West had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a set and slipped past the Riley County Falcons 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Jefferson West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-10.

Addison Schwinn paced Jefferson West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schwinn got some help from Harriet Dean and her 19 assists. Emmie Dean controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Jefferson West's victory bumped their record up to 25-12. As for Riley County, their loss dropped their record down to 24-17.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Jefferson West will challenge Maranatha Christian Academy/Kansas City Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
