Softball Recap: King/Drew Has No Trouble Against Locke

King/Drew never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Locke Saints 13-0. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Jordan Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Natalia Martinez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Xeniya Anderson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

King/Drew kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.

King/Drew's record now sits at 11-14. As for Locke, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

King/Drew didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Triumph Charter on the 21st. Locke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
