Soccer Game Preview: Florence vs. Bartlett

The Florence Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Bartlett Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bartlett will be up against a hot Florence team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 11. Florence put the hurt on James Clemens with a sharp 5-1 victory on Thursday. Given Florence's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while James Clemens are ranked 46th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bartlett kept a clean sheet against Evangelical Christian on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Eagles. The win was just business as usual for Bartlett, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Florence pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Bartlett, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
