Baseball Recap: Bishop Shanahan Comes Up Short

Bishop Shanahan was the 9-6 winner over Henderson when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles lost 14-1 to the Warriors on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Warriors since April 21, 2023.

Bishop Shanahan got a good showing from Brandon Houck, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Houck has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Owen McGrory made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Shanahan and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Henderson, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
