Football Recap: Caston Comets vs. North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays

Caston lost against North Judson-San Pierre back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Caston Comets were dealt a 69-3 loss at the hands of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-0.

Gavin Mollenkopf threw for 29 yards on six of ten attempts. Logan Mollenkopf was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Ashton Bowyer rushed for 61 yards.

North Judson-San Pierre had a senior duo take command as Brock Benson rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries and Kole Wilcox rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Caston will welcome Winamac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winamac is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Caston will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they will venture away from home to face off against Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Judson-San Pierre's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
