Chaparral has gone 7-2 against Mountain Pointe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Firebirds are taking a road trip to square off against the Pride at 6:00 p.m. Chaparral is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Chaparral got the win against Desert Mountain by a conclusive 3-0.

Chaparral never let Desert Mountain on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe didn't have quite enough to beat Notre Dame Prep on Wednesday and fell 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Pride in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost five in a row.

Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Mountain Pointe, their loss dropped their record down to 6-20.

Everything went Chaparral's way against Mountain Pointe when the teams last played back in September, as Chaparral made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Firebirds since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
