If Smyrna was riding high fresh off their 40-7 takedown of Coffee County Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Bulldogs and the Riverdale Warriors didn't end well, with the Bulldogs falling 31-13. The contest was a 10-10 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.
A big part of Riverdale's win came down to the chemistry between Gavin Hampton and his top target Corben Reynolds. Hampton's passing game has become a key predictor of Riverdale's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
