Basketball Recap: Woodstock North Takes a Loss

Woodstock North lost against Plano back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Woodstock North Thunder lost 52-29 to the Plano Reapers. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while the Reapers are ranked 129th).

Josie Larson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Plano, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sanai Young, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodstock North and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Plano, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodstock North has already played their next game (against Harvard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Plano has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Gardner-South Wilmington.
