Independence can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on the Nicholas County Grizzlies with a sharp 10-1 win. That's two games straight that Independence has won by exactly nine runs.
Emma Lilly was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Lilly has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
