Glades Day is a perfect 10-0 against Glades Central since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Glades Day will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Berean Christian last Thursday. Glades Day blew past Berean Christian 16-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Gators as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Adrian Baeza made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Glades Day's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Taranza McKelvin Jr was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaac Perez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Glades Day kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berean Christian only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glades Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on March 13th. They put the hurt on Pahokee with a sharp 11-1 victory last Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Glades Central let Edison Cruz and Damion Lopez run wild. Cruz went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Lopez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That triple marked the first that Cruz hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Mojica, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Glades Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Glades Day, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Glades Day took their victory against Glades Central in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 13-7. Will Glades Day repeat their success, or does Glades Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
