Baseball Recap: Lyons Has No Trouble Against Addison Trail

Lyons got themselves on the board against Addison Trail on Wednesday, but Addison Trail never followed suit. They blew past the Blazers 10-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Blazers: they've now won five in a row.

Mercer Krantz looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Lyons got a big performance out of Cam Clarke, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lou Ratcliffe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lyons' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Addison Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Lyons Lions take on Neuqua Valley Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Addison Trail, they will head out to challenge York at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
