Baseball Game Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Milpitas Trojans

The Santa Teresa Saints will take on the Milpitas Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Santa Teresa's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Milpitas has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Santa Teresa fell victim to Homestead and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Saints have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Milpitas came up short against Wilcox on Friday, falling 14-1.

Milpitas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hugo Garay, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Santa Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Milpitas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Santa Teresa beat Milpitas 8-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
