Football Recap: Mountlake Terrace Starts Season with Win Against Cascade + How To Watch

Mountlake Terrace had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Cascade Bruins, posting a 45-0 victory. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 20-13 win the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mason Wilson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 62 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries, and also threw for 128 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. Those 128 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Boswell, who gained 97 total yards and a touchdown.

Mountlake Terrace's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. It was truly a group effort as Wilson, Liam Moore, and Jackson Wallis picked up two apiece.

Coming up, Mountlake Terrace will challenge Lynnwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cascade, they will square off against Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
