Baseball Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Evergreen Valley's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Wilcox Chargers on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Wilcox, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen Valley will head out to square off against Gilroy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilcox, they will venture away from home to challenge Los Altos at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
