Basketball Recap: Germantown Christian Comes Up Short

Germantown Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the CHESS Christian Royals and fell 78-40. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.

Germantown Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paxton Scott, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Scott a new career-high in assists (two). Ian Francis was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Germantown Christian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for CHESS Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Germantown Christian has already played their next matchup, a 60-38 loss against Milford Christian on the 8th. CHESS Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
