John Jay came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mamaroneck Tigers with a sharp 9-2 victory. Considering the Patriots have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

John Jay now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mamaroneck, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

John Jay will head out to take on Nanuet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mamaroneck, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Yorktown at 11:00 a.m.
