Volleyball Preview: Las Lomas Knights vs. Miramonte Matadors
After both having extra time off, the Las Lomas Knights and the Miramonte Matadors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Las Lomas' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Miramonte has been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

If Clayton Valley Charter wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Las Lomas, they should've done a better job of containing Tate Thompson. The Knights came out on top against the Ugly Eagles by a score of 3-1 last Tuesday thanks in part to Thompson, who had 49 assists and four digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 14 games he's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-17.
Meanwhile, Miramonte came up short against Albany on Saturday and fell 2-0.
Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Las Lomas, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
