Baseball Recap: Westview Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Westview won the last time they faced Rancho Buena Vista and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolverines walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Longhorns.

Jayden Hardy tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Charles Jaskowiak was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Holeman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Westview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

Westview pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Westview will have a chance to go back-to-back against Rancho Buena Vista: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
