Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Greene). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mapletown Maples 37-8 on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pioneers had established a 22 point advantage.

Lane Allison had a dynamite game for West Greene, throwing for 242 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. A healthy portion of that aerial production (114 yards to be exact) went to Parker Burns, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for West Greene and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Mapletown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Greene will challenge Jefferson-Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson-Morgan will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something West Greene surely won't give up without a fight.
