Football Game Preview: Plateau Valley Cowboys vs. Lake County Panthers

The Plateau Valley Cowboys are taking a road trip to take on the Lake County Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Plateau Valley has given up an average of 29.7 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Plateau Valley ended up a good deal behind Hayden and lost 56-38. The Cowboys were up 30-14 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Meanwhile, Lake County played a tough contest two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 58-6 loss at the hands of Hayden. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Plateau Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Lake County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

It's a different story for Lake County, though, as they've been averaging only 82 total yards. Everything came up roses for Plateau Valley against Lake County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-0 win.
