Volleyball Recap: Arcadia's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

If Arcadia was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pasadena last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Arcadia fell just short of the Crescenta Valley Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss was the Apaches' first of the season.

Arcadia actually scored more points across those five sets (122-118), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 29-27, 35-33, 20-25, 15-12.

Having lost for the first time this season, Arcadia fell to 12-1. As for Crescenta Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Arcadia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Marshall on the 22nd. As for Crescenta Valley, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burbank at 5:15 p.m. on April 2.
