Baseball Recap: Sherwood Comes Up Short

The Sherwood Warriors didn't have quite enough to beat the Decatur Seahawks on Wednesday and fell 2-1.

Sherwood got a good showing from Bryce Sheahin, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Sherwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Rey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Sherwood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Decatur, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Sherwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Poolesville on the 23rd. As for Decatur, they have also already played their next matchup, a 19-0 victory against Pocomoke on the 17th.
